www.konekt.caKonekt came to The New BEAT looking to lift their image from print to web. They had just re-branded their zine and were really hoping their passion and energy would come across through their site. We worked closely with their art director, Jennifer Mann, and their publishers Neil Martin and Jeffrey Howard to divise a way to create this online community for students nationwide.

Founded in 2008, Konekt is a growing community of young artists, writers and intellectuals dedicated to challenging the status quo and promoting positive social change. Our mission is to encourage the sharing of original ideas and help foster a new generation of creative thinkers.
Konekt.ca is home to a collective blog, where our community gathers to share ideas, spark debate and discuss the world around us. It also serves as a unique platform for aspiring artists and writers to showcase their talent. Our contributors come from cities and campuses across Canada, and represent a diverse range of interests and opinions.
Published quarterly, Konekt Magazine gives a snapshot of the intellectual and artistic landscape by featuring articles and essays, as well as visual art and short fiction, from some of the most talented young artists and writers in the country.
